Barcelona 2020 Day5
Picasso Museum
The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city. The museum is home to more than 35,000 pieces of art from Picasso and other artists. The museum is located in the heart of Barcelona's old town, and it is easy to walk to from many areas of the city. Admission is free for children under the age of 18, and the museum is open every day from 09:00 to 19:00.
The museum was founded in 1963 by Picasso's widow, Olga Khokhlova, and originally housed only a small number of pieces that Picasso had donated to the city of Barcelona. Over the years, Picasso's family and the Spanish government donated additional pieces of art to be displayed in the museum.
It is housed inside five medieval palaces that were built during Barcelona’s golden age - from 13th-18th centuries. These buildings have been beautifully restored and now serve as a lasting tribute to Pablo Picasso. The museum is home to a wide variety of Picasso's work, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures.
I didn’t film in the museum because I wanted to enjoy his art and being at present there. Sorry for not having Vlog on this day. Instead, I sketched my dinner lol
This place is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Barcelona. If you're looking for an interesting and educational attraction to visit during your time in the city, be sure to check out the Picasso Museum!Make sure to check out the beautiful building it's housed in as well!
For dinner of this day was paella at Arume, and guess what!? I sketched what I had! I was so influenced by Picasso. What a creative day!
