Barcelona 2020 Day7

Breakfast at Mercado de La Boqueria

Palau Güell

Before our flight, we enjoyed the last day in Barcelona. I think this place is my most favorite building designed by Gaudi. The Palau Güell is a mansion designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí for the industrial tycoon Eusebi Güell and built between 1886 and 1888. As editing my video, it came out almost 10 minutes virtual tour for those who are busy or missed opportunities to visit one of the best buildings in Barcelona.

The building was originally intended to be used as a palace but due to economic difficulties, including an overly ambitious interior layout that required much of its space for corridors, it never served this purpose. As time passed by it became more like an investment than anything else; at one point in 1960s there were plans to turn into luxury apartments, but they fell through.

It was not until the early 1990s, when it was purchased by the city of Barcelona and restored to its original state, that it became a public building once again. Nowadays, it is used for a variety of cultural events such as exhibitions, concerts and theatrical performances.

The Palau Güell is one of Antoni Gaudí's most emblematic works and a must-see in Barcelona. Make sure you visit it on your trip to this amazing city!

Mercado de La Boqueria

Market tour in Barcelona

The Catalan capital has a whole host of daily and monthly markets to buy all sorts of curiosities, try delicious local cheese and ham, or find yourself with a whole new wardrobe. Here are my 3 favorite markets to check out on a visit to bustling Barcelona

1. Santa Caterina - This market is a more local version which offers bundles of fresh food and tapas bars in the Born neighborhood

2. Mercat del Ninot -This market is a very appreciated market by the Catalans who make their daily shopping there.

3. La Boqueria- This market is always busy. But it still retains its title as Barcelona’s best market - and the product is amazing. The local Michelin star restaurants buy their fresh fish, local meat, herbs, spices, and vegetables early in the morning,

Stay in Shape while traveling

My body was still sore from the last fight I just had a week before coming to Spain, but as a fighter, have to keep going. The view from the beach in the morning was phenomenal. The Sun will rise again and again, so do I! Street workout place Barcelona is Spain's equivalent to muscle beach California. With beautiful views along the beach in both directions and a wide range of bars and equipment to choose from. In this movie, you can see a bunch of pull up bars and everything you need for a great training
