Traveled a Unique Path to UFC Debut at Fight Night 50

A former competitor on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, Boston's Tateki Matsuda will make his UFC debut at Foxwoods in Ledyard, Connecticut on September 5 when he replaces the injured Dustin Kimura in a bantamweight bout against Chris Beal.

Following his close majority decision loss to Dustin Pague in the elimination round on TUF 14, Matsuda went back to the local scene and compiled four wins, including two straight in 2014 over Matt Doherty and Robbie Leroux. He will have a formidable task in front of him next Saturday in California's Beal, a TUF 18 cast member who won his UFC debut in April with a spectacular flying knee knockout of Patrick Williams.
