Galette for Cheat Meal

This is my cheat meal last weekend. Pasture-raised egg and bacon from local farmers market. Buckwheat (glute free) French galette and some greens and apples are on a plate.

 

I don't cut "good" grain during fight camp, but control its amount. Carb intake is always related to stress level such as adrenal fatigue, which affects on athletes' performance. This is the one of big reasons why many athletes have their own carb intake cycle.

As long as you recover your glucose level from depleted status, you are ready to use up before storages them as  body fat. Also, good carb intake helps your sleep( I be experienced that especially my Sunday night)

In France, they enjoy galette with Apple cider (Alcohol), but not for me NOW!
