Osechi 2022

Osechi

In Japan, the New Year is a time of celebration. Families gather together to eat traditional food called osechi. There are many different dishes in this special meal, and each one has a meaning or symbolism related to the New Year. For example, one popular dish during New Year's celebrations is ozoni. This soup typically contains mochi (a type of rice cake) and vegetables. The white color of the mochi represents purity and good luck. Another popular dish is kuromame. This is a type of black soybean that is considered to be a lucky food. It is said that eating kuromame will bring you good health and prosperity in the New Year. There are many other dishes that are served during osechi, all with their own special meanings or symbolism. If you're ever in Japan during the New Year, be sure to try some of this delicious traditional food! Happy New Year!

Oshogatsu is an important holiday in Japan that begins on January first every year. The celebration will last until the third day where most people return to work. Families will get together and spend time cooking special dishes known as osechi ryori. This is a type of cuisine that is only eaten during the new year period.

There are many different types of osechi, but one of the most popular is sashimi. This dish is made up of raw fish that has been sliced into thin pieces. It is usually served with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger. Sashimi can be eaten on its own or as part of a larger meal. I went to fish market for sashimi grade fish and added sashimi to Matsuda family’s Osechi in 2022. Sashimi made our table so luxury.

Wish this year would be great for everyone. Happy New Year 2022 and we become our best version of ourselves together!
