Pasta Negra con Langostinos
Valentine's Day again? I know it is a special day for showing love and appreciation to your significant other. This year, I decided to invited my teammate Kyle Bochniak and his wife. We train together almost everyday, but haven’t hang out together, so we made it happen.
We started potluck style appetizer. That was like Spanish Tapas style!
The meal began with Pasta Negra con Langostinos, a delicious Italian dish that features squid ink pasta and succulent shrimp. To prepare it, I cooked the pasta to al dente, then sautéed the shrimp in olive oil and garlic until they were cooked through. I combined the pasta and shrimp together, adding heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese for a rich, savory sauce.
Next, I served Japanese Style Sirloin Steak with Shio Koji, a dish that is both flavorful and tender. The sirloin steak was marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, Shio Koji, and honey, then cooked to perfection on a cast-iron skillet. The Shio Koji added an umami flavor that made the steak irresistibly delicious. The toughest park is cooking temperature because koji gets burn easily.
For dessert, you served Gluten-free Nuts Tart, a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The tart was made with a gluten-free crust, and filled with a rich and nutty filling. It was the perfect complement to the savory flavors of the main courses.
The evening was filled with great conversation, laughter, and of course, fantastic food. Everyone was impressed by the delicious meal you had prepared, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Kyle and his wife were delighted to be included in the special evening, and my wife was over the moon with the whole experience.
In the end, it was a Valentine's Day to remember. I had shared a meal with close friends, and had shown my love and appreciation to my significant other. Tatekitchen had been the perfect menu for a perfect evening, and everyone had thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
