Ancestral Ecstatic Journey: Biohacker London After Party
Biohacker Summit London was an incredible experience, and the after-party took it to the next level—an immersive ancestral journey of ecstatic dance and live music.
The warehouse venue was transformed with dreamlike lighting and heady incense. As the musicians took the stage, the energy built. First up: Japanese beatboxer Yogetsu Akasaka, whose improvised vocal percussion exuded spirituality. His Heart Sutra got me so high! (No substances involved, of course.)

Next was Mikko Heikinpoika, a Finnish artist known for fusing primal roots music with modern technology. As he pounded out hypnotic bass rhythms and layered in vocals, the tribal energy swelled. His music pulled you into a trance that erased all self-consciousness.
People drifted to the dance floor and slowly lost themselves in the rhythm. Their uninhibited movement was beautiful to watch. By the end, strangers embraced like old friends, bonded by the experience.
The next day we headed to the countryside for a wild-foraged lunch and herbalism tour with master forager Miles Irving. A day wandering the woodlands with Miles' plant wisdom balanced London's frenzy perfectly.
Watching Miles identify edible and medicinal plants renewed my respect for traditional ecological knowledge. The wild-herb meal left us replenished, and we went back to the city ready to bring more ancestral practice into modern life.
The after-party made a container for self-expression and connection through timeless music. Dancing, laughing, and adventuring with new friends drove the event's teachings into the body. Moments like these are where the spirit of biohacking comes alive.
It was a short stay, but I squeezed in a post-dinner walk with Biohacker Center members in London. We hit the "tourist places"—Big Ben and the telephone booth, that symbol of London. Until next time, thank you London! I'll be back soon!
