An Ancestral Journey: Biohacker Summit London After Party
Ancestral Ecstatic Journey: Biohacker London After Party
The Biohacker Summit London was an incredible experience, and the after-party took things to the next level with an immersive ancestral journey involving ecstatic dance and live music.
The stunning warehouse venue was transformed with dreamlike lighting and heady incense. As the musicians took the stage, I could feel the energy building. First up was Japanese beatboxer Yogetsu Akasaka, whose improvised vocal percussion exuded spirituality. His Heart Sutra got me so high! (Of course, no substance)
Next was Mikko Heikinpoika, a Finnish artist renowned for fusing primal roots music and modern technology. As he pounded out hypnotic bass rhythms and layered in vocals, I could feel the tribal energy swell. Mikko's music incited a trance state that erased all self-consciousness.
People drifted to the dance floor, slowly losing themselves to the rhythms. Witnessing their uninhibited movements was beautiful. By the end, strangers embraced like old friends, bonded by the experience.
Upgraded Offsite: Countryside Tour
The following day, we headed to the countryside for a wild-foraged lunch and herbalism tour with master forager Miles Irving. Spending a day wandering the woodlands and savoring Miles' plant wisdom complemented the frenzy of London perfectly.
Watching Miles identify edible and medicinal plants renewed my appreciation for traditional ecological knowledge. Our wild herb-focused meal left us replenished. We returned to the city ready to implement more ancestral practices in our modern lives.
The after-party created a container for self-expression and connection through timeless music. Dancing, laughing, and adventuring with my new friends integrated the event's teachings viscerally. Moments like these make the spirit of biohacking come alive.
It was such a short stay, but I had a post-dinner walk with Biohacker Center members in London. We visited “tourist places“, such as Big Ben and the telephone booth (a symbol of London). Until next time, thank you London! I will be back soon!
