Does spring season make us a little bit weird? My little sparrow is all cold and hot. She attacks me with beak, but sits on my shoulder and gets relaxed there. Repeat million times. Does she like or hate me? I think spring makes her different. Sorry... no boy is allowed in my place. Rio chan can't find her mate. Too bad… Wish I have male bird for her.

Rio is in deep sleep. She loves to stay on my shoulder or thigh when I do PC work.  She is sleeping hard! Wish I can sleep like her for my full recovery. On Sunday, usually my body is beat up. Today was an active recovery day. I did kettlebell arm-bar and Turkish get-up in the morning. Work on the desk a little bit and then off to acupuncture and hot tub therapy. 

No more bird cage... I let Rio be free in the house. She sleeps in a bathroom downstairs and fly everywhere in my place all day. I show you how she spends a day. Happy Cage Free Day!

I am crazy about my little bird! Rio is my angel and spend time with her all day long. She poops on my shoulder, but I don't care. I have a great announcement and something I want to share with you guys. First thing first, let me start with Rio. She is very different day by day.

Read a book with my little one. Can Rio read letters? I hope she understands human words or whatever I say. She is so “Kawaii”(meaning “cute“ in Japanese). Books are one of the most popular things in the world today. No matter what happens in politics, the economy, or even in life… books are always going to be available and readily accessible through local stores and even online. I was reading a book recieved from someone I serve. I feel my pleasure in this moment with Rio. Really wish Rio can read this together.

Rio doesn't need a plate for shower or bath anymore. She now sneaks in my hands where she can find the tap water running from the faucet. This is a problem…Why? because she doesn't want to come back in the bird cage even though she is thirsty. Now she jumps in my hands to take a shower and drinks water. I remeber she used to be afraid of the whole kitchen sink, but now she has no problem with it and aim for food and shower.

Deep sleep right now and she made me take 2 hours for dinner. I can’t move my shoulder.. Oh boy... Rio is always playing around on my shoulder, but recently seems to pay less atention on me. First I felt missing her, but soon recognized that she watches me very carefully. How do I know it?

Rio loves to take a dust bath on my head. I felt she landed on my head, so took some pictures. I did a little bit of research on internet and found out that in well-watered areas bathing is most common, in arid ones dusting is more often observed.

Already got back to hard training for the next fight, so my body is tired and sore from daily training. However, this little girl doesn't care about how much I am tired. I open a bird cage for good exercise and Rio comes to me and lands on my shoulder. She wants to play with me. I'm tired....sorry.

Rio is so cute! She loves to stay in my hand like her nest. I got pull up blisters, BJJ blisters and fist blisters on my hands, so there are so many spots to peck with her beak.

Wow! Rio finally made it! She took a shower and picked up food from a plate. I don’t use a skewer anymore because when I have a skewer in my hand, Rio looks so excited. I think rio thinks a skewer as mom's beak or something.

As you can see the picture above, I put a small box where Rio stays and left it for a while as I wish the mother finds her. If they meet together, I was ready to say good bye and get Rio back to the nature.

On my way to my car from Ogawa coffee, I found weaken sparrows. One of them died and another one was  so weaken. It was chirping and I felt so bad because it looked like this bird dropped from a nest above us.
