It has been 15 years since we met at Narita Airport as strangers and arrived at JFK NY. Then we took a bus to Boston to enroll in English learning program during Summer. Time flies!

Another Gala tonight! I went to the Gala dinner of the Japan Society of Boston last night and today I went to another Gala event by MAPS. MAPS stands for Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese speakers and they work with and for the Brazilian, Cabo Verdean, Portuguese and other Portuguese-speaking communities to increase access and remove barriers to health, education and social services through direct services, advocacy, leadership, and community development.
