A Special Visit from Veronika: A Colleague's First Time in Boston
It's not every day that a colleague from across the world visits your hometown, so when Veronika, one of my esteemed colleagues at Biohacker Center in Helsinki, made her way to Boston, I was thrilled to show her around. Veronika and I often cross paths at events in Europe, where our work with Biohacker Center brings us together. However, this was the first time she had ventured to my side of the Atlantic, and I was eager to give her an authentic Boston experience.
Japan Festival Boston 2024
A Day at Japan Festival Boston: Family Fun and Cultural Discoveries
Last weekend, my family and I enjoyed attending the Japan Festival Boston, which beautifully showcases the richness of Japanese culture right in the heart of the city. Held at Boston Common, the festival was an incredible opportunity for my kids to immerse themselves in the traditions and joys of Japanese culture—an experience that I, as a proud Japanese, was thrilled to share with them.
A Summer of Music and Memories
A Symphony of Memories: My Mother's Summer Visit to Boston
After five years, my mother returned to Boston. But this time, it was during the vibrant, sun-soaked summer days.
UFC Boston
Many local fighters blew the roof off TD Garden on October 18th. I had a mixed feeling and was very emotional when I was supporting my teammates and watching their fight. I have never admitted that I give up to come back to the cage at TD garden since got a pink slip from UFC. My fighting career has been up and down since then. In order to come back to UFC, all released fighters must have a win strake to come back, and UFC is always looking for younger roosters. I know there are major MMA promotions except for UFC, but when it comes to TD Garden, I become very emotional
Tanglewood Boston Symphony Orchestra 2019
It has been 5 years since I visited the Tanglewood festival last time. This is a phenomenal concert venue! Everything from the grounds, to the views, and of course the music, it's all great. I finally got the chance to come here. It was a long drive on Mass pike to West. I wanted to go to Tanglewood for this summer so bad because have been missing opportunities for years. I have visited there with my friends back in 2014 and for my friend's piano concert back in 2010.
Boston Skyline Views
On our first visit to Blue Hills Reservation, a beautiful 7000-acre hiking oasis in Milton Massachusetts, we decided to hike to the top. It was an amazing Sunday morning hike. I couldn’t believe that I have been missing this beautiful nature and place for more than a decade.
TIME OUT Market Boston
How I enjoyed my post-fight gourmet? My wife and I accidentally found out that Time Out market opened in Fenway recently. This is no ordinary mall food court. At Time Out Market Boston you’ll find restaurant stalls by well-known Boston restaurants. There are also two full-service bars, as well as a demonstration kitchen that will highlight a variety of local culinary stars.
Hideru in Boston
My younger brother visited me in Boston. His last visit was back to 2011, so it has been 8 years since then. He told me that Boston had changed a lot. I do agree bro. Since my brother got some time off from his job, he made it to Boston and spend a good time with me.
15 Years
I don’t remember the exact day we started dating, but both of us are sure that we came to the U.S on June 1st, 2004. It has been 15 years since we met at Narita Airport as strangers and arrived at JFK NY. Then we took a bus to Boston to enroll in English learning program during Summer. Time flies!
MAPS 2019 Awards Gala
Another Gala tonight! I went to the Gala dinner of the Japan Society of Boston last night and today I went to another Gala event by MAPS.
