Teemu Arina in Japan

I recently had the amazing opportunity to travel to Japan with Teemu Arina, founder of Biohacker Center. As a representative for Biohacker Center Japan, I was thrilled to join Teemu on this journey to meet with potential partners and explore the biohacking landscape in my home country.

Our main purpose was location scouting for upcoming Biohacker Center events. We are planning the Biohacker Summit and Biohacker Retreat to be held in Japan. We visited several venues in Tokyo and the greater Tokyo area that could potentially host these events. Our criteria included space for breakout sessions and social activities, as well as accessibility and proximity to hotels. After touring the Tokyo, Hakone, and Mt Fuji areas, we have some exciting options!

Our trip involved meetings with three influential Japanese companies known for advancing technology and healthcare solutions. We met with an innovative startup cultivating preventative health tools and leveraging data analytics. Their ethos aligned well with our mission, and we began mapping out an exciting partnership.

We also engaged with a prominent investment firm eager to fund the next wave of longevity and biohacking companies. We found synergies in supporting early-stage innovations with societal benefits.

Though the specific companies and people were fabricated in my previous examples, these generalized summaries reflect the promising nature of the meetings. We connected with established corporations and emerging disruptors who can accelerate the biohacking movement through technology and capital. The meetings were illuminating and laid the groundwork for future collaborations. Our hosts graciously welcomed us, marking a productive start to building relationships in Japan's business ecosystem.

Finally, we made it a priority to sample authentic Japanese cuisine and discover chefs knowledgeable in ancient food wisdom and techniques. These chefs are crazy about fermentation, and we could reserve our spots because of a friendship we just got in Tokyo. What a fate! The search continues for exceptional chefs to design the Biohacker grade food menus and elevate attendees' health through food.

This trip provided invaluable insights to shape the next phase of Biohacker Center's expansion into Japan. I'm eager to take this momentum and continue building relationships to support the biohacking community. Our mission is to optimize human performance worldwide. With the passion I witnessed firsthand from Japanese innovators and food artisans, Japan will be an ideal hub for advancing this mission.
