Our main purpose was location scouting for upcoming Biohacker Center events. We're planning a Biohacker Summit and Biohacker Retreat in Japan, so we visited venues in Tokyo and the greater Tokyo area. The criteria: space for breakout sessions and social activities, accessibility, and proximity to hotels. After touring Tokyo, Hakone, and the Mt Fuji area, we have some exciting options.

The trip included meetings with influential Japanese companies advancing technology and healthcare. One was an innovative startup building preventative health tools on data analytics. Their ethos lined up with our mission, and we started mapping out a partnership.

We also met a prominent investment firm eager to fund the next wave of longevity and biohacking companies. We found real synergy in supporting early-stage innovations with societal benefits.

We connected with established corporations and emerging disruptors who can accelerate the biohacking movement through technology and capital. The meetings laid the groundwork for future collaborations, and our hosts welcomed us graciously—a productive start to building relationships in Japan's business ecosystem.

And of course, we made time for authentic Japanese cuisine—hunting for chefs who know ancient food wisdom and techniques. These chefs are crazy about fermentation, and we got our reservations thanks to a friendship we'd just made in Tokyo. What a fate! The search continues for exceptional chefs to design Biohacker-grade menus that elevate attendees' health through food.

This trip shaped the next phase of Biohacker Center's expansion into Japan. I'm eager to keep this momentum and keep building relationships for the biohacking community. Our mission is to optimize human performance worldwide—and with the passion I saw from Japanese innovators and food artisans, Japan will be an ideal hub for it.
