A Spectacular Opening Ceremony
The evening opened with an unforgettable ceremony led by Team Japan: Sensei Zen Takai, Yogetsu Akasaka, and Nao Matsuda. It set the tone, filling the room with tradition and respect for the natural elements.
Yogetsu Akasaka held the room with the soothing sounds of the hand pan, a serene atmosphere settling over everyone. Nao Matsuda followed with a Japanese tea ceremony, serving 16th-generation Samurai green tea. The precision of her movements as she prepared and served the tea was mesmerizing—a moment of calm before the meal began.
Sensei Zen Takai then purified the space, a ritual that brought a sense of peace and readiness. He closed the ceremony with a traditional Japanese dance, a strong and beautiful display that honored his Samurai heritage and added real cultural depth to the night.

A Collaborative Culinary Experience
The dinner was more an interactive cooking workshop than a traditional meal. Each course was made by a different kitchen team, like a TV cooking show. That hands-on approach let everyone work with the ingredients directly, guided by the speakers and the authors of the Biohacker's Handbook.
At the front of it was Sami Tallberg, a master of wild food. His guidance was key as we worked through ultra-seasonal ingredients, local forage, and wild game. Every dish reflected his expertise—built to be delicious and optimized for health, using the latest biohacking cooking techniques.
