Announcing My New Substack and the "Tek Talks" Voice Blog
As a biohacker and former UFC fighter, I spend my days analyzing data, tracking recovery, and optimizing human performance. But let’s be honest: life is rarely a perfectly controlled experiment.
When you are raising a family in Boston, building cross-continental projects in the US, Japan, and Europe, and navigating the nuances of different cultures, the pristine "morning routines" you see on social media often collide with messy reality. You can't always biohack a toddler's sleep schedule, and you can't always optimize the psychological weight of balancing your identity.
My official website is the home for polished, highly structured articles, keynote details, and Hololife Center updates. But I realized I needed a different kind of space—a place to share the raw, behind-the-scenes thinking that bridges the gap between scientific evidence and actual, everyday life.
That is why I am launching my official Substack and a brand-new audio series called Tek Talks.
The Substack: Longevity, Mindset, and the Real World
If you want the unfiltered truth about what it takes to stay sharp in the real world, this is where you will find it. My Substack is a collection of short, practical essays where I translate health research and performance psychology into actions you can actually apply.
As someone who is highly skeptical of the wellness industry's constant buzzwords, I don’t blindly accept hype. Here, we will look at the data together. You can expect:
Skeptical Biohacking: Honest reviews of tools, tech, and protocols. We will dissect what actually works, what is pure marketing hype, and what might even be unsafe.
Fighter’s Mental Models: Translating combat sports psychology into everyday resilience. We will talk about managing pressure, confronting fear, and maintaining consistency when motivation fails.
Boston Field Notes: The reality of longevity science, sleep, nutrition, and training while managing work and modern parenting.
"Tek Talks": Spoken, Not Optimized
While the written essays will dive into performance and health, the audio component of the Substack “Tek Talks” is entirely different.
Tek Talks is not a health and wellness podcast. It is a voice blog about culture, wellbeing, and meaning, told directly from my perspective as a Japanese father and former fighter living in America.
These are personal reflections on parenting, identity, money, and systemic cultural differences. It is unscripted, unpolished, and completely unoptimized. It’s simply me, speaking my mind on the things that matter most outside the cage and the boardroom.
How Often Will I Publish?
Quality over volume. I am not here to flood your inbox with daily noise. I will only hit publish when I have a field-tested insight, a rigorous breakdown of a new protocol, or a meaningful reflection to share.
