Another Gala tonight! I went to the Gala dinner of the Japan Society of Boston last night and today I went to another Gala event by MAPS. MAPS stands for Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese speakers and they work with and for the Brazilian, Cabo Verdean, Portuguese and other Portuguese-speaking communities to increase access and remove barriers to health, education and social services through direct services, advocacy, leadership, and community development.
Each year, the Annual Gala Dinner of The Japan Society of Boston celebrates global citizens whose life's work has helped to build peace and friendship between Boston, Japan, and the world. The Dinner also provides an opportunity to support the diverse activities of the Japan Society of Boston, a catalyst for cultural, educational, and business ties between our nations.
My wife gave me such a beautiful night for a kimono date and dinner. We both are trying to be a powerful and beautiful couple like those we respect. How do you enjoy the authentic Japanese experience in Boston?
Ben’s last day in Tokyo was so packed same as other days. We have been busy to enjoy, learn and experience Japanese culture in Tokyo and Ben started his last day in Ginza and took hours of private Japanese cooking lesson by a very well-know/trained chef, Ishizuka, the owner Ishizuka, as a head chef, found this restaurant after awarding Michelin stars for 5 consecutive years. I was a translator/camera man/guest for him.
Read MoreI know all Japanese people are jealous of us right now. Getting dressed in Kimono, watching Sumo from a box seats and having Chanko nabe (Sumo wrestler’s stew) for dinner are the highest status as Japanese. These incredible experiences never happened without support from Takanohana stable. Gift box was also amazing! Thanks for this opportunity.
Read MoreI am spending days with Ben Greenfield in my hometown Tokyo Japan. Since he had a private speaking event yesterday, I visited my old neighbor, Musashikoyama, Shinagawa, Tokyo where I had been living there until 7th grade. My elementray friends came to see me and I met most of them for the first time in two decades!! It made me so nostargic and reminded me of childhood. and…Guess what!? My random visit because of Ben was a sheer chance to come back to the september festival in my old hometown. It had been 20 years since I participated in last time. What a huge surprise! Sunday was the day for me!
Read MoreGuess who I was with in Tokyo Japan? I spent a week with Ben Greenfield, who is a New York Times Bestselling author, speaker and coach. You can find out who he is on his website and it would be much easier because I cannot explain about everything of his profile. Anyway though, it was my honor to spend time with him because I am a huge fan of him and his podcast. He is definately one of top influencers in fitness, health and wellness industories.

Read MoreToo many things going on this weekend... earth-day, march for science, anniversary, housewarming, and sunny weather. How was yours? Mine was very interesting because I did sketching for the first time and got taught by one of urban sketchers, Mike Daikubara.
Read MoreDoes spring season make us a little bit weird? My little sparrow is all cold and hot. She attacks me with beak, but sits on my shoulder and gets relaxed there. Repeat million times. Does she like or hate me? I think spring makes her different. Sorry... no boy is allowed in my place. Rio chan can't find her mate. Too bad… Wish I have male bird for her.
Read MoreMy friend, Mike Daikubara, had an interview about his sketching. I have been his friend for a long time and we have been spent some time together in private. He works as a designer. But in his spare time, he is an artist who practices drawing on location where he lives or travel.
Read MoreRio is in deep sleep. She loves to stay on my shoulder or thigh when I do PC work. She is sleeping hard! Wish I can sleep like her for my full recovery. On Sunday, usually my body is beat up. Today was an active recovery day. I did kettlebell arm-bar and Turkish get-up in the morning. Work on the desk a little bit and then off to acupuncture and hot tub therapy.

Read MoreI am crazy about my little bird! Rio is my angel and spend time with her all day long. She poops on my shoulder, but I don't care. I have a great announcement and something I want to share with you guys. First thing first, let me start with Rio. She is very different day by day.
Read MoreRead a book with my little one. Can Rio read letters? I hope she understands human words or whatever I say. She is so “Kawaii”(meaning “cute“ in Japanese). Books are one of the most popular things in the world today. No matter what happens in politics, the economy, or even in life… books are always going to be available and readily accessible through local stores and even online. I was reading a book recieved from someone I serve. I feel my pleasure in this moment with Rio. Really wish Rio can read this together.
Read MoreRio doesn't need a plate for shower or bath anymore. She now sneaks in my hands where she can find the tap water running from the faucet. This is a problem…Why? because she doesn't want to come back in the bird cage even though she is thirsty. Now she jumps in my hands to take a shower and drinks water. I remeber she used to be afraid of the whole kitchen sink, but now she has no problem with it and aim for food and shower.
Read MoreDeep sleep right now and she made me take 2 hours for dinner. I can’t move my shoulder.. Oh boy... Rio is always playing around on my shoulder, but recently seems to pay less atention on me. First I felt missing her, but soon recognized that she watches me very carefully. How do I know it?
Read MoreRio loves to take a dust bath on my head. I felt she landed on my head, so took some pictures. I did a little bit of research on internet and found out that in well-watered areas bathing is most common, in arid ones dusting is more often observed.

I open a bird cage for good exercise and Rio comes to me and lands on my shoulder. She wants to play with me. I'm tired....sorry.
