Thanksgiving 2019

Made it perfect as the last year!

Made it perfect as the last year!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! The fall and winter holiday seasons are upon us, and I’m looking forward to one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving.  Everyone has their unique traditions associated with this national holiday. Originally Thanksgiving was a time to give thanks and celebrate the bounty of the preceding year’s harvest. I think Thanksgiving is the best holiday to reflect my feeling and appreciation to my people. Gratitude is an incredibly powerful emotion that benefits ourselves and all around us in so many positive ways. Many studies have been written about the positive effect of gratitude towards our health, relationships, and business connections.

Besides turkey, I made a lot of dishes, as you can see above. I prepared turkey like 3 days before. Defrost it naturally and leave my pasture-raised organic turkey in the fridge for 2-3 days and dry its skin hard. This process makes poultry’s skin so crispy.

I intend to enjoy clean and from-scratch food at a great value. Holidays are especially important time, and I understand that it can be challenging to find real food to serve for these special occasions. I am honored to cook form family and friends, whether you are dining with me or planning on enjoying my food in the comfort of their home. Tatekitchen always brings joy to you.

Roast the perfect turkey

To know it’s done, use a meat thermometer in three spots: breast, thigh, and stuffing. Place the thermometer in the thickest part of the thigh without touching the bone and in the center of both the breast and the stuffing. If your turkey is unstuffed, cooking times are different—see this handy chart for answers to all of your turkey cooking questions. I made it even juicier, and it’s an easy skill to master. How? I didn’t believe in USDA. I took my turkey out when it got to 160F. The meat was not undercook at all. It was just perfect!

The highest demand and my favorite

My favorite side I am featuring this year is the Boston Baked Beans! Since I had Europeans more than half of my guests, positive feedback from them made me very confident. Pork is essential for them, and they consume lots of porks. Everybody said my baked beans were perfect.

To make a special addition, my wife baked lovely sourdough made of local ancient rye 100%. Sourdough bread - here’s why it’s one of the only breads I eat> The Acute Impact of Ingestion of Sourdough. This made my leftover sandwich the best.

Positivity is infectious. When we are surrounded by people, places, or things that make us feel safe, taken care of, or just plain happy, we are in a better position to feel happy and light-hearted. While reconnecting with family, friends, and myself, be sure to take time to engage in interactions that are positive. This could be as simple as a phone call or text conversation with someone positive in my life. Thanksgiving allows me to look outside myself and appreciate others. Today, I am very grateful for the opportunity to have built and maintain relationships with family and friends. I appreciate these people I always keep in touch with. Without them in my life would be more miserable. So I give thanks to those who have helped me enrich my life with friends. To my family and friends, thank you for being part of my world.
